Entertainment

12PM – Lisa Faithfull  |  1.45PM – Kylie Auldist

Renowned as the leading lady of ARIA award nominated band The Bamboos, Kylie Auldist’s remarkable voice has drawn comparisons to Diana Ross and Sharon Jones, and her energy on stage is absolutely electric with a huge dose of boogie power, providing an absolute dance experience enjoyed by crowds all over the world.

Described as “the high priestess of Melbourne’s soul scene”, Kylie is carving a name for herself across the world. Shooting to international prominence thanks to the monster summer anthem of 2016 Kungs vs Cookin’ feat. Kylie Auldist version of ‘This Girl’, her sublime vocals broke charts across the world. The remix has reached #1 on the national singles charts and the iTunes charts in many countries across Europe including France and Germany, #2 in the UK single charts, #1 on the Worldwide Shazam Chart, #9 on the International iTunes Charts, and made track of the day on BBC1. The music video now has over 200 million views and continues its meteoric rise.

Listening to her three critically acclaimed albums ‘Still Life’ (2012), ‘Made of Stone’ (2009) and ‘Just Say’ (2008), it is easy why leading international tastemakers including American radio station KCRW and UK luminaries such as BBC’s Craig Charles, Gilles Peterson and Mark Lamarr are all firmly on board the Kylie Auldist soul train.

Now Kylie is taking her own musical output in a new direction that offers a glimpse into her first stylistic passion: electro funk. The love-child of Chaka Khan and Rick James in music form, her new single and album of the same title ‘Family Tree’ is out now.
