Melbourne singer/songwriter now based on the Peninsula, Aimee Francis has toured nationally and internationally with artists including P!NK, Pat Benatar, Steel Panther and Australian legends the Baby Animals, The Superjesus, The Black Sorrows, Daryl Braithwaite and Rose Tattoo.
Finishing school at 16 to go to music college, moving to Los Angeles to pursue her career at 18 – it has been a whirlwind ever since, taking her not only to the US a number of times, but also touring the UK where she performed over 40 shows including a week at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
In April 2008, she released her full-length debut LP – Somethin’ Like That recorded in Los Angeles in at Henson Studios (Hollywood). The album was mixed by Mike Plotnikoff (INXS, My Chemical Romance, The Cranberries) and Jeff Rothschild (Kelly Clarkson, Melissa Etheridge, Sheryl Crow) and mastered by the legendary George Marino at Sterling Sound in New York.
Aimee Francis is reinvented herself as a song writer and as a musician with fresh and emotive new releases in 2019, revealing a piece of her soul never seen before. Big Cliché will be the first single from her new EP dropping later this year.
